DNA Scientist Reacts to Famous Movie Scenes

The AttoGroup's Brief

The AttoGroup is a set of four cutting-edge laboratories dedicated to wellbeing, safety in the home and workplace, detailed DNA analysis and precision medicine.

Hicks2: Web+Creative Studio partnered with The AttoGroup and their Chief Marketing Officer, Simon Dean, in early 2024. Since then, we have frequently collaborated on a multitude of creative projects.

The discussion began to develop a series of videos introducing the experts across AttoGroup's brands to reinforce the brand's authority and authenticity. These videos were to be highly educational, delving into specialised subjects, and, most importantly, captivating to the target audience.

Hicks2's Response

Hicks2, in collaboration with Simon Dean, developed a two-part video series centred around AttoDiagnostics scientist Dr Steve Cummings.

The video features Steve (sporting a fantastic Stranger Things t-shirt) reacting to DNA and virology scenes from famous blockbuster movies, such as Contagion, The Amazing Spider-Man, Twins and The Silence of the Lambs - to name a few.

The final outcome is highly engaging, bursting with character and, if we do say, an absolute delight to make.

What did we do?

Video Production

Shot at the AttoDiagnostics lab in Norwich, we transformed an unused backroom into a professional-grade video production studio that could support high-quality, continuous production.

On set, we took full control of the visual narrative. Our primary focus was to ensure that the visuals and audio were of the highest standard whilst looking engaging for wide-angle shots that reveal the set.

Post Production

Our post-production team carefully assembled footage into a 30-minute, two-part video that would captivate and entertain the target audience.

Intertwined with movie clips and motion graphics, this was a mammoth edit, with a result that maintains the same level of Hicks2 quality from start to finish.

By combining meticulous editing with engaging visuals, we delivered a video that not only meets but exceeds industry expectations in video post-production.

Content Creation

We worked with The AttoGroup to create optimised social media clips for maximum engagement across platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube, driving higher visibility, engagement, and interaction with their audience.
