Hive Mind: Mead and Brew Co's Brief

Hive Mind: Mead and Brew Co. are a speciality drinks producer hailing from the Wye Valley. Their multi-award-winning traditional and sparkling mead is sold worldwide and has won nine Great Taste Awards.

Hicks2: Web+Creative Studio partnered with Hive Mind in early 2024 for six months of our Web+Creative service, which included video production, product photography, graphic design and brand strategy.

While Hive Mind are based in the Wye Valley, they sought to capture unique imagery from other iconic British landscapes. This brief led us to the Lake District in early March, where we captured lifestyle and product photography for Hive Mind’s digital channels, social media, and email newsletters.

Hicks2's Response

We scouted scenic viewpoints, set up equipment, and balanced natural light under shifting spring weather. By capturing detailed product shots and broader lifestyle imagery, we provided Hive Mind with fresh, versatile visuals for digital marketing, showcasing their mead against the region’s dramatic backdrop.

What did we do?

Product Photography

Hicks2 travelled to the Lake District to capture dramatic product photography that would resonate with Hive Mind's outdoors-focused audience.

We staged their products against striking backdrops, framing their traditional mead in a natural setting that complemented the brand's visual language. We utilised close-up shots that highlighted the intricate details of the bottles and labels, while wide-angle compositions showcased the natural scenery, reinforcing Hive Mind's connection to its roots.
