Hive Mind: Mead and Brew Co's Brief

Hive Mind: Mead and Brew Co. are a speciality drinks producer hailing from the Wye Valley. Their multi-award-winning traditional and sparkling mead is sold worldwide and has won nine Great Taste Awards.

Hicks2: Web+Creative Studio partnered with Hive Mind in early 2024 for six months of our Web+Creative service, which included video production, product photography, graphic design and brand strategy.

Every month, Hicks2 ventured out into the Wye Valley to capture beautiful lifestyle and product imagery for use across Hive Mind's digital channels, social media and email newsletters.

Hicks2's Response

Hicks2 travelled to Symonds Yat, one of, if not the most iconic viewpoint in the country. The famous landscape is also front and centre in Hive Mind's flagship traditional mead, making it the perfect spot to capture striking and memorable product photography.

Hive Mind are a nature-centric brand that represent their homeland with pride. In this series of product photos, blue skies and vibrant hills flood every corner of the frame.

Symonds Yat, in the Wye Valley, offers panoramic views over the River Wye, attracting hikers, climbers, and nature lovers to its iconic limestone cliffs.

What did we do?

Product Photography

Hicks2 ventured into the Wye Valley to capture vibrant product photography that would resonate with Hive Mind's nature-focused audience.

We staged their products against the backdrop of the iconic Wye landscape, framing their traditional and sparkling mead in a natural setting that complemented the brand's visual language. We utilised close-up shots that highlighted the intricate details of the bottles and labels, while wide-angle compositions showcased the vibrant scenery, reinforcing Hive Mind's connection to its roots.
